Skilled workers who need to settle in Quebec must undergo a different process to get permanent residency in Canada. Applicants must apply through the Quebec government for the Regular Skilled Worker Program, commonly known as the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) or the Quebec Experience Program.
This program allows international applicants with a high level of education and training to come to Quebec. A selection grid of criteria is used to evaluate skilled people.
The applicant will receive a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) once they have earned the required points, which will assist them in applying for permanent residency in Canada. The candidate must read, write, and speak French to be considered for this program.

The community-driven program aims to bring the economic benefits of immigration to a smaller community.Immigrants can settle and work in the communities that participate in this permanent residency program.
Each participating community will have a designated employer that will hire skilled workers in their community.The applicant can apply for permanent residency in Canada after satisfying the community’s standards and receiving a work offer from the employer. Several provinces have small towns or communities such as:
