The Provincial Nominee Program has a range of options (PNP)
- Paper-based process
- Through Express Entry
Paper-based Process:
The initial step is to apply for nomination under the non-Express Entry stream with your province or territory. If your business is on the list, you will get a nomination from the province if you fulfill the eligibility conditions and qualify through various provinces’ unique In-demand Occupation Lists.
You must now submit a paper application for your PR visa. The processing time is generally longer than it is with Express Entry.
Express Entry System:
You can apply for an Express Entry nomination by contacting the province or territory and requesting one.You can build an Express Entry profile or update an existing one if you get a favorable answer from the province or territory to nominate you.
Another alternative is to create an Express Entry profile and specify which provinces or territories you want to visit. If you get a ‘notification of interest’ from the province, you can contact them and apply using the Express Entry system.
For your application to be successful, you must fulfil the eligibility conditions. The following are the steps involved in submitting a PNP application for a PR visa:
- Fill out an application in the province or region where you want to live.
- If your profile fulfils the qualifying requirements, the province may nominate you to apply for a PR visa.
- After a province has nominated you, apply for your PR visa
